3 sessions for $300

Our 1:1 personal training series for new clients

Want to bring a friend? You can purchase this intro offer for two people!

Most Iron and Mettle clients start with our 3-session intro offer. This package consists of 3x 1:1 50-minute personal training sessions. These sessions are an excellent way to meet with a trainer, try out our studio, and learn proper form on all foundational movements that you'd see in any strength program (not only at Iron and Mettle - but anywhere!)

What you can expect:

  • 🌸

Learn or review the basics of strength training in a safe and supportive environment.

  • 🌸

Review the barbell bench press, back squat, and deadlift (the foundational movement patterns found in all Iron and Mettle programs!) so you’ll feel at ease in any session in the future.

  • 🌸

Get a feel for our style of training while allowing your coach to learn about your goals, wants, needs and starting point to create a program that suits you!

  • 🌸

Understand all of the movements performed in our semi-private group classes, so you can join those sessions at any time with ease!

  • 🌸

Receive helpful modifications and form guidance to help you to overcome any existing injuries, pain, or limitations and avoid potential injuries.

  • 🌸

Understand (or reinforce your belief!) on why strength training is the best and most fun way to exercise and take care of your body!

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes! All of our personal trainers are full-time professionals (this is NOT a side hustle for us!) and are well-versed in dealing with injuries (think: low back, knees, elbows, hips, and shoulders). As a team, we bring in professionals like physical therapists to teach us industry best practices and training methods for dealing with all sorts of medical issues, injuries, and life events (including pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, hyper mobility, and more).

  • These sessions are for anyone new to our studio. The coach will meet you at your current abilities and fitness level - whether you are brand new to fitness or an athlete. We highly recommend all clients begin with this package and encourage new clients to have an open dialogue with their coach about their wants, needs, likes and dislikes!

  • If you have prior experience with the barbell bench press, deadlift and back squat - please email us at info@ironandmettlefitness.com

For the safety and comfort of our members - we require that all new clients without formal barbell training experience start with our 3 intro sessions. If cost is a limiting factor, please email us at info@ironandmettlefitness.com so we can pair you with other new clients at a shared cost!

We also have beginner’s sessions on our schedule on Tuesdays at 4PM and Thursdays at 3:30 and 4:30PM that are open to anyone brand new to our studio - you do not need any prior strength training experience to join these sessions. While we still recommend doing the new client intro sessions, as this is the quickest way to join regular classes, the beginner’s classes are a great way to check out the vibe of the studio and decide if strength training is something you want to pursue!

  • 24 hours prior to the start of the session. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session - please reach out to your assigned coach via email or text!

  • Many of our members do 2:1 couples sessions with their partners. We train individuals who identify as men in a 1:1 personal training setting as well!

We do ask that those who identify as men not attend our semi-private sessions.

It is important that our studio is a safe space for all.

  • You will receive an intake form via email after purchase - this is how you book your sessions. Please fill out that form and we will pair you with one of our trainers to get scheduled! If you do not receive an intake email, please email us at info@ironandmettlefitness.com and we’ll get one to you ASAP!

Typically, it takes about 1 - 2 weeks after purchase to get into the studio for your first session, as our coaches plan their schedules about 1 - 2 weeks in advance.

  • Strength training is for people of all ages, fitness levels, shapes and sizes.

No matter your age or experience - we can teach you how to find a variation of each lift that works for your specific body. We take into account your anthropometry, mobility, injury history, and starting point. We will meet you where you're at.

Our oldest client is in her late-70's and she can bench 55lbs, deadlift 85lbs, and press a 35lb barbell overhead. She had never strength trained in her entire life until she found our studio.

We also have clients who were collegiate athletes looking to get back into training!

  • We use your intake form responses to pair you with a trainer who we believe is a great fit! However - you can absolutely request to work with a specific trainer! We will do our best to get you paired with that trainer. Please note - not all of our trainers have prime time openings (7AM/6PM). We will let you know if your requested trainer has a waitlist and give you options for alternatives!

  • Most clients work with the same trainer for all 3 sessions.

Clients are welcome to switch trainers at any time. If you want to work with other trainers, please send us an email and we will schedule you with a different person. Please note not all of our coaches are available on the same days/times each week so please let us know your availability and we’ll get you paired with someone new ASAP.

  • Iron and Mettle does not have any mirrors, scales, or body measurement tools on our gym floor. We do not take before/after photos of our clients unless explicitly requested.

Iron + Mettle is built on the belief that health is so much more than just a number on the scale. Exercise and nutrition can be things we do - not because we hate our bodies - but because we appreciate our bodies and taking care of them makes us feel good.

The fitness industry profits on fear-based selling: don’t eat that, don’t do that, you aren’t enough - and we are here to encourage women to start demanding more from their gyms and from their coaches.
